Sundays & Thursdays Teachings | October 2024 Blog Post ✍🏼✍🏽✍🏾✍🏿

For the month of October, Overseer Prophet Powell, Sr., has been teaching Heaven to Earth Worship Center about “Manna, Riches, There’s Two Sides of Without, Whatever Things, How We Can’t Live Without these Seven Types of Blessings, A Double Portion, Plagues and Famine, Getting vs. Receiving Part 1 & 2. Three types of Givers”

The children of Israel were not supposed to eat manna for that long. They were only to eat manna for 40 days but ended up eating it for 40 years. Manna is God’s nourishment and provision. Manna is wilderness food and when we come out of the wilderness we can then eat from the promises of God. Manna was a wafer-like cake also known as angel food. Manna teaches us to trust God. It teaches us that God provides. Once we know how to trust God we can enter into His promises. Manna represents the spiritual power of God. We should no longer eat manna but eat from the promises of God.

Riches do not come from the devil, and it is not a sin to be rich/wealthy! What we decree and declare will come to pass. It's in what we say! Death and life are in the power of the tongue! We have to know who we are! Proverbs 10:22 indicates that God can make His people rich!

Whatever things we can’t live without a seed because we need seed for a harvest and as long as the earth remains it will seedtime and harvest. People need to believe without doubting (read Matthew 21:21-22) whatever thing you ask for in prayer, believe that it will be done. Whatever things also means you can have anything that you like, this means not to get what you like and not what you can afford. God will work things out in our lives and we do not have to go into debt or think that we will get into debt.

A double portion isn’t easy to obtain. A double portion is for God’s people not for oneself, our families are included in a double portion. To receive a double portion you have to make Jesus Christ your Lord. We have to be proven for a double portion! Elisha had proven himself and saw something in Elijah and wanted it. In 2 Kings 4:1-7, the woman did exactly what Elisha said to do and the double portion anointing took the woman out of debt and caused her and her family to be blessed.

The difference between receiving and getting. Be one that receives it is everlasting, getting does not last.

What we need to in order to receive:

  • to have faith, believe God’s word, and that He will provide for your needs

  • be open and realize that God’s blessings are available and are good for you

  • praying and asking God for what you want and believing that you have received it

  • be kind and compassionate

  • give generously and be grateful

  • stay connected, think about God's Word and the promises you base your prayers on

  • confess faith, make statements that affirm your faith in God rather than doubting Him

A believer is to give cheerfully and willingly not out of regret or necessity. What can hold up our blessings is how we give not the amount. It’s important to have a pure and clean heart. Giving from necessity is giving because you want something or need your needs met.

In conclusion, the month of October was full of wisdom and revelation. The messages teach us about trusting, believing, giving, and receiving.

“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” (2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV)
