Sundays & Thursdays Teachings | May 2024 Blog Post ✍🏼✍🏽✍🏾✍🏿

Overseer Prophet Powell, Sr., has been teaching Heaven to Earth Worship Center about The Invisible Word, Man Shall Live series, and Double Minded through the revelation given by the Holy Spirit

But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'" (Matthew 4:4 NKJV). To live by means to remain alive, continue, endure, survive, prevail (not defeated), outlast (outlive the challenges the enemy has tried to create and lies told about you, even things Satan has said about us can't outlive us as believers. To live also means to continue to function and prosper!

The word of God is invisible, and we have to hear and receive it for it to come to pass in our lives. What is important when it comes to hearing is hearing by the three levels of our ears. "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But I say, have they not heard? Yes indeed: "Their sound has gone out to all the earth, And their words to the ends of the world." (Romans 10:17-18 NKJV)

Outer ear = outer man

Middle ear = flesh

Inner ear = inner man/spirit man

When we do not hear the invisible word correctly, we hear only with our outer and middle ear. To hear correctly, we must hear with all three parts of our ear. Hearing and receiving the word of God is a matter of faith. Our faith will be tested, and this testing produces patience. The word of God assures us that patience leads to perfect work. However, if we allow ourselves to be double-minded, we invite emotional instability and a lack of peace. A man who keeps his mind steadfast on Christ is the one who finds perfect peace. We cannot afford to divide our minds between Him and the cares of this world.

"James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,

To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (James 1:1-8 NKJV)

In James 1, Apostle James, a bondservant of God, taught all believers will encounter trials, sufferings, troubles, and conflicts. While facing these encounters, our faith is being tested. Faith produces patience; with patience, we lack nothing, but only by our faith being tested can patience be produced, so let patience have its perfect work.

The blessing of the Lord makes one rich and adds no sorrow to it. If sorrow is there or added to any blessing, it did not come from the Lord. Therefore, being weak in faith causes us not to hear and receive the word of God. Do not be like one who doubts. When someone doubts, they are like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind, double-minded and unstable in all his ways.

“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” (2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV)
