Overseer Prophet Daniel Powell Sr. author of How to Live as Citizens of Heaven teaches on Understanding the Authority of the Holy Spirit during Thursday Night Bible Teaching on July 2, 2020. The Holy Spirit has the authority to teach us, lead us, and guide us in all truth. We have to understand the Holy Spirit, before we can operate in His power and gifts. Most of us do not understand the authority He has.
The Holy Spirit will help us in our daily walk.
He has the authority to speak for us and will guide our speech in times of trials, but first He has to be living in us.
We have to be mindful and not allow our flesh to override the Holy Spirit and operate in a false spirit.
“If a man should walk in a false spirit and speak a lie, saying, ‘I will prophesy to you of wine and drink,’ even he would be the prattler of this people.” (Micah 2:11 NKJV)
So let’s talk about a false spirit:
• This spirit is not the Holy Spirit. (Get delivered from this spirit).
• This spirit should not be able to lead, teach, or guide God’s people. (Only the Holy Spirit can lead, teach, and guide us).
• This spirit has the authority to cause us to lie. (Whereas, the Holy Spirit has the authority to speak the truth).
• This spirit speaks according to fleshly things. (Whereas, the Holy Spirit speaks according to spiritual things).
• This spirit does not speak to us about our transgressions, sins, and hiccups. (Whereas, the Holy Spirit deals with us and our shortcomings).
The Holy Spirit has the authority to give us Power.
And if we are full of the Holy Spirit, we should be walking in the fullness of His Power.
If we truly understand the authority of the Holy Spirit we will talk to Him and ask questions such as, “Holy Spirit why am I acting like this?” “Holy Spirit what should I wear today?” “Holy Spirit why do I have a heavy heart?” Or simply just acknowledge the Holy Spirit every morning when we wake up by saying “Good morning Holy Spirit.”
Lastly, the Holy Spirit has the authority to cause us to be acceptable to God and approved by men because He has and will always serve Jesus Christ.
It takes the Holy Spirit to serve Jesus Christ.
No one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. This is why we must know and understand the authority of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit will never lead us outside of the scriptures and if we follow Him, He will lead us into peace and victory!

Heaven to Earth Worship Center, Tampa Florida was founded in 2016 and has grown tremendously in these last four years of being open. The Lord has ordained 12 licensed ministers in our ministry. And in just three years, the Lord has blessed over 10 members (and counting) with brand new vehicles. We receive countless emails and text messages of testimonies of prophecies coming to past. Our Overseers and Coverings are blessed to be under the Head Apostle Kathy Kinchen. This Ministry has prospered in so many ways, and we have much more in store!
