We began a new series going into August, "If We Are Willing & Obedient." The Lord is looking for the willing and obedient. "If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land" (Isaiah 1:19 NKJV).
If We Are Willing & Obedient
The same word that heals and blesses us is the same word that if we rebel against, it can cause us to be crushed and destroyed, for example, rebelling against the word of the Lord concerning tithes and offering in the book of Malachi 3. If we rob God in our tithes and offerings, we are cursed with a curse because we did not obey the word. Never rebel or refuse a word.
In Mark 1:40-44, the Leper man was looking for the willing One, but he didn't know that Jesus was the One. Lepers were taken out of society and had to be separated, and they could not eat the good of the land. The disease responded immediately because it was obedient. Demons and sickness respond to the living word and because when you become willing and obedient, you can speak, and it'll happen.
The man with leprosy connected to the willing One through obedience and willingness and his leprosy was cleansed. "And He strictly warned him and sent him away at once, and said to him, "See that you say nothing to anyone; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing those things which Moses commanded, as a testimony to them." (Mark 1:43-44 NKJV). There's order through willingness and obedience, and once God cleanses us from certain things, it shouldn't come back on us.
This man's life changed. He was finally able to be around others and not be afraid. Being willing and obedient to God is what causes us to live in the Promised Land, and it's time for us to eat the good of the land.
