We have to understand why God drafted us in. One that is a slave of sin is in bondage. A slave cannot break free from their own bondage. This is why Jesus was sent to us. Anytime we are in the family, we have no choice but to be blessed.
Being a Son vs. a Slave of Sin (Family Privileges)
God will never allow us to be outside of the family. He’s trying to bring us into the family so we can be blessed on this earth.
All the families on the earth should be blessed because we are the descendants of Abraham. But we have to be descendants spiritually and not naturally because that is sin, in reference to Galatians 2:20.
The Bible says the Lord will load us down daily with benefits! Think about it; wealthy children are privileged. It’s the same way in the Kingdom of God.
We have to know that we have been adopted through the father of faith, Abraham. We can’t be stiff neck or rebellious acting as adopted children in the natural. If we do, we will lose our privileges forever.
Just because we are in the house of God doesn’t mean we receive the adoption as a son. We have to know that we have family privileges.
The Holy Spirit can only live in sons. That’s a privilege because the Holy Spirit doesn’t live in sinners. Therefore, we are no longer a slave but a son. The spirit of the Lord will lead us and guide us in the spirit of truth. This is why the Lord tells us to protect our hearts because it’ll lead us.
It’s a privilege for the Lord to bless us.
It’s a privilege for the Lord to heal us.
In Hebrews 3:6, make God a permanent resident in your house. Don’t let anything and any spirit into your house. Our house is not ours; it’s God’s house.
Write this down: As a family member, the Son can bestow family privileges on others. He is the One that does it.
Families are the descendants of Abraham. We can’t be the descendants of Abraham if we don’t believe the truth, believe the gospel and believe in Christ. God will never kill our promises because we are in the family, and these promises have to come to pass.
