Meet the Visionary

Overseer, Prophet Daniel Powell, Sr., is a native of Miami, FL. There, he met and married the love of his life, Prophetess Esther Powell, and to this union, the Lord gave them three children. They celebrate 40+ years of marriage and joyfully share in the lives of ten grandchildren.

The Lord addressed the Prophet as having the keys to the kingdom and selected him to walk heavily in the areas of: the authority to call those things that are not as though they were; an anointing for the barren – spiritually, financially, and the childless womb; and great deliverance. Prophet Powell, Sr. knows the value of deliverance first-hand. As he often boldly gives a detailed account of his deliverance from the old man – his former lifestyle of drugs, guns, demonic oppression, prison, and the enemy’s plot for self-destruction.

Prophet Powell, Sr., under the instruction of the Holy Spirit, dresses the body of Christ for the coming of the Lord by laying the foundation of Jesus Christ. Laying the foundation of believer's is imperative and has led and caused many under his leadership, wisdom, and counsel from the Lord to be filled with the Holy Spirit, have the fire of the Holy Spirit, healed from sicknesses and diseases, and delivered from demons/generational curses. Furthermore, HEWC is a place of worship, where miracles take place, prophecies go forth and come to pass swiftly, the glory of God and His presence are very strong in HEWC, and many seek the Lord for deliverance as they are met with the fire of Lord on the altar for breakthroughs. As an Overseer, Prophet Daniel Powell, Sr., has an apostolic grace and is assigned to the area of birthing churches and oversees ministries in Florida, Georgia, and the Philippines, along with spiritually covering several itinerant evangelists and prophets. In addition, he is the featured Bible Lecturer for Stand to be Different Birthing Center (STBD); a teleconference focused on spiritual development. Prophet Daniel Powell, Sr. labors in local, national, and international vineyards, teaching the foundational truths of Jesus Christ. Nearly twelve years ago, the Lord gave the Powell’s the ministry of Faith & Works.

He submitted this ministry under the leadership of their international covering, K.K. Ministries, and Overseer, Apostle Kathy Kinchen. God directed Prophet Powell, Sr., to the Bay Area just five years ago to demonstrate the ministry of Jesus Christ. Faith & Works Outreach Ministries is impacting lives through: a food distribution ministry, Open Heaven Academy for grades K-12, Founder and Overseer of Heaven to Earth Worship Center, and various outreaches, including the Philippines and South Africa.

Teaching that faith without works is dead, this Word revival has resulted in several published authors and businesses within the congregation! Many have given their lives to Christ by the moving of the Holy Spirit. Many have also been physically and emotionally healed, moved out of subsidized housing, and are married.
